Crisis intervention and on-call behavioral health support for youth, young adults, and families.
VOA Alaska’s Rapid Response team specializes in crisis intervention for youth and young adults ages 13-24 and behavioral health consultations and support for parents, caregivers, and staff of youth-serving organizations.

Hours: Mon – Fri, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Our team of mental health clinicians and peer support specialists will respond within 60 minutes, can be deployed anywhere in Anchorage, or provide support statewide via telehealth.
Please note that Rapid Response is not a 24-hour service.
If crisis intervention is needed outside of Rapid Response hours, please dial 988.
If you believe your or someone’s life is in danger, dial 911 immediately.
What can the Rapid Response Team provide?
- Intervention for youth and young adults experiencing a mental health crisis.
- Interim services while youth and young adults on a waitlist to begin treatment services.
- Support and guidance for parents and caregivers who are unsure how to support their child or find treatment.
- Support for staff at schools and other youth-serving organizations that are concerned about a youth and need assistance.
- Connections for youth discharged from a treatment facility and in need of more community-based support.
- Consultations for youth, young adults, parents, or caregivers with questions about how to get started with treatment services.
