The Fireweed Society is a dedicated group of community members united by VOA Alaska’s vision to end suffering for youth and families across Alaska.
These passionate individuals are catalysts for change, investing their time, resources, and advocacy to make a tangible difference at the local, state, and national levels.
“I am grateful to have people that can potentially guide me through giving my grandson the best and what every child deserves out of life—a loving, secure and safe, stable environment.”
Ambassadors commit to investing $500 or more in VOA’s mission in a one-year time period. This investment can be one-time or recurring to spread the contribution across the year in monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual increments.
Fireweed Society donations are eligible for matching gift programs which means you can further amplify the impact of your giving!

VOA Alaska provides behavioral health and wellbeing services to youth, young adults, and their families. Our strength-based and person-centered services promote wellness in all areas of a person’s life through mental health therapy, substance use counseling, family therapy and kinship care, supportive housing, and residential treatment.
We are in schools, in the community, and supporting Alaskans statewide via telehealth.
As a non-profit, these services are offered at low or no cost, and no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
