Youth & Young Adult Outpatient Program
Our integrated behavioral health and wellness services create a safe space for youth and young adults to find hope and healing.
At VOA Alaska, we believe in the power of human connection. Our integrated behavioral health and wellness services are designed to meet youth, young adults, and their families exactly where they are, creating a safe, supportive space to find hope and healing.
We take a holistic approach to addressing an array of complex challenges—including trauma, anxiety, depression, substance misuse, anger management, and oppositional behaviors—ensuring the right care is provided at the right time.

Adolescent Care (through age 18)
For adolescents navigating these complex behavioral health challenges, we provide tailored mental health therapy, substance use counseling, and family therapy. Our services—ranging from traditional outpatient counseling to intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs—are structured to help teens heal, strengthen family relationships, and build emotional resilience.
Young Adults (Ages 18–24)
For young adults transitioning into adulthood, our specialized program provides a safe, structured environment to overcome barriers to independence. By offering comprehensive wraparound support—including mental health therapy, substance use recovery, employment resources, and education assistance—we empower young people to continue their recovery journey, build vital life skills, and successfully transition to self-sufficiency.
Accessing Care: Medicaid and most private insurances are accepted and billed. To ensure no one is turned away due to an inability to pay, fees are adjusted on a sliding scale. A custom fee schedule and payment plan will be developed with each family during the intake process.
