Kim Williams
Area President, iHeartMedia
Kim Williams is the Area President for iHeartMedia, overseeing Alaska and Hawaii. She began her media career in 1998 in Anchorage with Clear Channel (now iHeartMedia), where she served as a Sales Manager for 10 years. After spending 15 years managing iHeartRadio stations in Fairbanks, she recently returned to Anchorage to lead operations for both markets. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing personnel, revenue, programming, and ensuring FCC compliance. Originally from southern Louisiana, Kim studied at Baylor University and later earned a Master’s Degree in Professional Communication from UAF. Her passion for media and storytelling, along with a lifelong dream of living in Alaska, brought her to Fairbanks in 1994. Kim has served on the board of the Alaska Broadcasters Association for over a decade and has traveled to D.C. to advocate for Alaska broadcasters. She and her husband, Travis—a UAF graduate—have two children, ages 22 and 20. Their daughter lives in Anchorage, and their son is attending Western Washington University. In her free time, Kim enjoys reading, walking her dog, cooking, and watching movies.
