Liz grew up in Oakland, California, living in many other states and countries before moving to the Matanuska Valley in 2018. She holds a Master’s in Higher Education Administration, beginning her career as a study abroad advisor. After finding herself in need of surgery while uninsured, her focus shifted to non-profit healthcare administration in 2015. She is especially passionate about removing barriers that prevent individuals and families from accessing healthcare. Liz has worked closely alongside VOA in previous roles and is excited to join the team. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors (especially camping and rafting), tending to her plants, cooking, and watching anything in the horror genre. Liz is a proud dog mom to two husky mixes that enjoy any adventures Alaska has to offer.
