In 1972, the military brought Angie’s family to Alaska, she has been an Alaska ever since. Her journey with VOA Alaska began in 2001 as a Residential Care Assistant, then as a Residential Care Assistant Midnight, and then as a Night Shift Milieu Manager. She began Radact Classes to get more education about Substance Use/Addiction Behavior. In November of 2008, ARCH expanded to a new building serving more youths, and Angie began her new position as a Program Assistant, adding HR to her position in April of 2020.
Angie’s mission is making a difference in the lives of youth and serving the community of Alaska. Her interest has been helping our youth grow, teach them healthy ways of life, and to reconnect with their families.
Outside of work, she enjoys being with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, and experiencing the great Alaskan outdoors on the Kenai River.
