Assist is comprised of Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient programs which are designed to intervene with substance abusing and chemically dependent adolescents, ages 12 to 18, whose alcohol and other drug problems can be managed in an outpatient setting. These programs make it possible for many youth to receive the services they need while remaining in their home and community. The Assist program provides individual, group, and family counseling and psychological services. Upon completion of primary treatment, weekly continuing care is provided to support clients in their recovery efforts. The Assist program is linked to community resources through referral and case coordination with other agencies.

Outpatient
The Outpatient program provides intervention and education for youth who struggle with substance abuse. These clients are often in the early stages of addiction. Treatment consists of one group counseling session per week, attendance at the weekly family program, and individual counseling sessions during the 12 week program as determined by the individual's needs.

Intensive Outpatient
The Intensive Outpatient program consists of 10-12 hours of treatment per week, for approximately 12 weeks, in the form of individual, group, and family therapy. Family support and education is also provided weekly in multi-family group sessions. The adolescents appropriate for this program require increased structure and frequent contact and intervention in order to maintain abstinence while in an outpatient setting. The Intensive Outpatient program serves as a primary treatment as well as a transition from
ARCH residential treatment, providing the structure and support needed for a successful transion back into the community. After completion, Continuing Care is then provided 3 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks.
